    About

Camp Workroom Social Wardrobe Week is a 5-day/4-night sewing retreat offering participants the space and freedom to work on sewing garments that reflect their personal style.

At Wardrobe Week, our team of expert fashion sewists support campers as they work on different aspects of their wardrobe. In addition to working on their garments, campers at Wardrobe Week can attend lectures and activities that are curated to expand their design thinking and creativity. Past topics have included fit, color, silhouette, fabric, finishing techniques, how to use trims and hardware, garment care, garment design and planning, and project workflow and organization.

Campers spend their time at Wardrobe Week working side-by-side in small groups, creating a warm and collaborative environment that encourages campers to build connections with each other. Campers work on their own projects at their own pace and at different stages of construction. Some campers focus on batch sewing multiple garments, while others focus on fine-tuning the fit of one or two garments. Each small group also works with a dedicated sewing instructor who is matched with campers based on their desired outcomes and goals. Instructors can demonstrate sewing techniques, help with problem solving, assist with fitting, and offer a professional perspective on the garment-making process, all while making fashion sewing approachable and fun!

During down time, campers can choose to relax alone or get to know their fellow campers. We designed Camp Workroom Social for sewists to learn, to practice, to experiment, and to have a fun weekend away in the woods!

At Workroom Social we specialize in teaching adult learners in a fun and social environment. Our events are noncompetitive, casual, and productive, and we teach in a friendly, inspiring, motivational way. We are professional designers and makers who do not focus on perfection. Rather, we want you to learn and to participate in our classes with a creative and curious spirit. We know great sewing comes with tons of practice, and our goal is to give you the skills and the confidence you need to continue your sewing journey at home.

    COVID Vaccinations

For Wardrobe Week 2025 we continue to require updated COVID vaccinations as recommended by the CDC.

Keeping up to date with the CDC’s COVID-19 vaccination recommendations helps reduce the spread of the virus in our communities. Here's how:

    • Public Health Impact: High vaccination rates contribute to overall community protection, making it harder for the virus to spread as widely. This can be referred to as community immunity. This helps protect those who cannot be vaccinated, such as individuals with certain medical conditions. The overall effect of widespread vaccination is a reduced incidence of the disease, which protects vulnerable populations. World Health Organization, CDC, World Economic Forum
    • Lower Transmission Rates: Vaccinated individuals are less likely to contract COVID-19, and if they do, they generally have a lower viral load, making them less contagious. This significantly reduces the likelihood of spreading the virus to others. Mayo Clinic, World Health Organization, Yale Medicine, CDC
    • Shorter Period of Contagiousness: Vaccinated people typically clear the virus faster than unvaccinated individuals, meaning they are contagious for a shorter period. This helps to further limit the spread of the virus. CDC, Mayo Clinic, World Economic Forum
    • Reduced Severity of Illness: The COVID-19 vaccines help reduce the severity of illness if one does get infected. This leads to fewer hospitalizations and deaths, which also contributes to less overall transmission as there are fewer severe cases in the community. Johns Hopkins, World Health Organization, Oxford University

These points underscore the critical role that vaccines play in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and protecting our community health.

With these things in mind, you can read our full COVID-19 policies on Workroom Social's Terms of Service page.
