SECTION 3 - TERMS RELATING TO CLASSES AND EVENTS

SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS DUE TO COVID-19

We prioritize the health and safety of our community. These special terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, so continue to check back here closer to your event date for current terms, conditions, and guidelines.

For special policies regarding refunds, cancellations, exchanges, and returns due to COVID-19, please review our Refund Policy.

FOR CAMP WORKROOM SOCIAL

All event participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as recommended by the CDC. As of May 14, 2024 the CDC recommends, “Everyone aged 5 years and older should get 1 dose of an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against serious illness from COVID-19. None of the updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccines is preferred over another.”

The updated vaccines became available in September 2023. Your vaccination must be from September 2023 or later.

The CDC has a history of updating its vaccination recommendations and releasing a newly updated COVID-19 vaccine each year in August/September. Due to the specific timing of Fall Camp (October 18–21, 2024), event participants will be required to get an additional vaccination if a new one is released before September 30, 2024. Event participants should be prepared to visit their local healthcare providers in September 2024.

Event participants must provide proof of vaccination at least 4 weeks before the event start date. If a new vaccination is required, event participants must provide proof of additional vaccinations at least 10 days before the event start date. Event participants will receive submission instructions after their registration is processed. Only vaccinated individuals who are up-to-date with the CDC's recommended vaccination guidelines may participate in Workroom Social events until further notice. Click here for the CDC's current vaccination guidelines.

Moderately or severely immunocompromised participants and participants aged 65 years and older have different vaccination recommendations. Click here to view the CDC's recommended vaccination guidelines for these groups.

All event participants agree to take measures to reduce their risk of exposure to COVID-19 and follow all CDC guidelines starting 14 days prior to the event start date.

The first day of Camp, all event participants must submit proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken no earlier than 6:00 a.m. Eastern time. Event participants will receive submission instructions no later than 8 days before the event start date.

Workroom Social strongly recommends all event participants take additional rapid tests leading up to the event, especially if traveling via plane.

Workroom Social reserves the right to allow or deny attendance. Please refer to the COVID-19-specific terms of the Workroom Social Refund Policy.

All events follow CDC and New York State COVID-19 guidelines as a minimum. We reserve the right to add additional COVID-19 related precautions as we see fit, and all participants agree to adhere to any additional COVID precautions not yet listed here.

Following CDC and New York State guidelines, mask-wearing is recommended and encouraged. Event participants should carry face masks with them at all times and be prepared to put on a mask at any time. We also ask participants to wear masks if they’re experiencing cold-like symptoms while at Camp.

SECTION 4 - COMMUNITY RULES AND GUIDELINES

Sewing has the power to connect us with others we might not meet otherwise, and at Workroom Social we develop opportunities for our students to build relationships that go far beyond sewing itself. Workroom Social creates spaces for students to interact with each other, and these rules and guidelines apply to these spaces. We refer to these spaces as community spaces. Community spaces include all in-person events and activities. Community spaces also include all digital spaces created by and/or managed by Workroom Social including—but not limited to—workroomsocial.cominstagram.com/workroomsocialfacebook.com/workroomsocial/youtube.com/workroomsocialhttps://discord.gg/DDTFnvxQV9, Zoom meetings and webinars, and online community groups on Thinkific, Facebook, and Discord.

We recognize that our hobbies are only one aspect of our complicated lives, and the time we spend together sewing does not erase difficulties we face or hardships we're experiencing.

Please use Workroom Social community spaces to enhance the Workroom Social experience, for yourself and for our maker community: connect with others, ask for help, share your achievements, lift up others, and support others requesting assistance.

Please read our complete Community Rules and Guidelines. It’s important to create a space in which you feel included, comfortable, and safe, and to do this we all must abide by these rules. We take violations of these rules seriously, and upon violation, we will mute, remove, or take other actions to protect the community at our discretion.
