I'm super excited to introduce I Made My Wedding Outfit, a new series on Workroom Social TV, featuring hobby sewists who've made their own wedding outfits!
In season 1, episode 1, I welcome sewist Zaji-Kali on the show. Zaji-Kali is a self-taught seamstress from Houston, TX, who is currently living in Colorado. She enjoys sewing garments for herself and her family, and in this episode of I Made My Wedding Outfit, we talk about the making of her wedding collection (yup! you read right!), her advice for making the time to sew, how she finds her sewing mojo (a.k.a. sewjo), and why it's important to spend time on your hobbies.
Zaji-Kali self-drafted her wedding dress, but don't be fooled! She says “there was nothing that I knew besides how to actually use my machine when I went into making the dress.” She learned a lot from the project, and she reminds us that there's nothing we can't sew.
The full episode of I Made My Wedding Outfit is available now on Workroom Social TV.
