What to Expect from Your Class at Workroom Social
Expect to learn new things in a warm atmosphere at our studio. Feel welcomed the minute you walk through the door. A few things you can expect to leave class with include…

- Drinks and snacks from our favorite Brooklyn-based shops. Day-long Intensives also include locally catered lunches and a fun cocktail hour to end each day.

- Productive creative time spent working and learning in a friendly, inspiring, and well equipped studio space.
Our in-studio sewing classes in Brooklyn, New York include the use of studio equipment, however, not all classes include student supplies. Supply lists are emailed to enrolled students about two weeks before each class date.
Sewing classes are held at Workroom Social, 893 Bergen Street, Suite 11 (between Franklin and Classon Avenues) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn unless otherwise stated.

Studio and Class Policies
We can’t wait to see you at Workroom Social! We want to ensure that every student has the best experience possible, and to help with this, we’ve put together some important policies for you below. Before you register for a class or event produced by Workroom Social, please read our policies. When you register for a class or event with us, you agree to our terms and conditions.

All sales are final. We do not issue refunds, exchanges, or cancellations on any purchase or registration. This includes any payment made for a class deposit or installment. Once a payment is submitted, it is final.
For classes, workshops, and events, we have a strict no cancellations and no transfers policy.
In the event of low enrollment, we reserve the right to cancel a class at any time. If a class is cancelled, enrolled students will be notified at least 48 hours prior to the start of class and will receive a full refund.
Classes and workshops are held at Workroom Social, 893 Bergen Street, Suite 11 (between Franklin and Classon Avenues) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn unless otherwise noted. The studio is located on the second floor of a commercial, walk-up building.
To get to Workroom Social by train, take the C to Franklin Avenue (at Fulton Street), the S to Park Place, or the 2, 3, 4, 5 to Franklin Avenue (at Eastern Parkway). On-street parking is rarely difficult if you are driving.
Advance registration is required for all classes. Visit our Classes and Workshops page to select your desired class and register online. You can also call 646-481-1650 or email us to register.
To register for class a 50% deposit is required with the remaining balance due one week before your class date. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Classes start and end on time. Please be on time to class, as all of our classes rely on an on-time start. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early to class. There are no makeups for missing all or part of a class.
We cannot guarantee that any student will complete her project in its entirety.
Specific class instructors are subject to change at any time and without notice to attendees.
Throughout classes, workshops, and other events at Workroom Social, the Workroom Social team along with other attendees will photograph and/or videotape students and their work. All attendees authorize Workroom Social to publish the recordings online or in other places for marketing purposes. All Workroom Social attendees agree that their picture and sound may be used by Workroom Social without granting any additional permissions and without compensation. Please speak to your instructor, or get in touch with us before your class or event if you have specific questions about this policy.
For the safety of all attendees, all visitors to the studio must follow our studio rules. Studio rules will be discussed at the beginning of each class. If you have any questions or concerns regarding safety, please speak to your instructor immediately.
Students and attendees acknowledge that attending a class or other event at Workroom Social or produced by Workroom Social involves certain risks (some of which she may not fully appreciate) and that injuries, death, property damage, or other harm could occur to the students or others. Students accept and voluntarily incur all risks of any injuries, damages, or harm which arise during or result from attending a class or other event at Workroom Social or produced by Workroom Social regardless of whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other fault of Workroom Social and/or its affiliates, employees, officers, agents or insurers.
Workroom Social is not responsible for students’ lost or damaged property.
