Love your video. Please clarify your instruction on the following: ” Fold
the edge of the waist into the garment to encase the elastic. Starting
at center back, stitch close to the inner edge of the elastic,
stretching the project as you sew. As your project goes thorough the
machine, you should be sewing the elastic to the fabric flat.”

Should I be zigzagging on the fabric or the fabric & the elastic? I don’t know if I should just sew on the fabric.

Very detailed and helpful! Will these two methods work if the fabric itself has little to no elasticity? I’d like to add an elastic band to cotton, which isn’t stretchy at all. Thanks!

I would be very interested to know how to sew elastic by hand onto fabric (don’t have a sewing machine). Not wanting a tube of fabric to pull the elastic through – want to authenticate boxer shorts where the elastic is sewn on the fabric.
