Join me this Saturday and Sunday at Fashion on the Factory Floor in Brooklyn!
Fashion on the Factory Floor is a Holiday Market featuring jury-selected emerging designers in a polished, purpose-built 20,000 sq./ft. industrial space. All designers featured at Fashion on the Factory Floor have committed to supporting local jobs and the vibrancy of New York City’s iconic apparel industry by manufacturing within the five boroughs.
Admission to the Holiday Market is free and open to the public! I’ll be on site both days from 10am to 5pm doing live demos of garment construction techniques, zipper installation methods, and seam finishes. I’m also leading a fun and easy DIY, showing you how to make a J. Crew/Liberty of London inspired fabric belt. Make your own for $25. All materials included!
The Holiday Market will feature more than 50 unique designers selling women’s and men’s apparel, jewelry, accessories, handbags, and gifts at a range of price points, together with a full schedule of exciting programs and delicious locally-made food vendors.
The event is organized and curated by Pratt Center’s Made in NYC initiative with support from Manufacture NY, Save the Garment Center, and other leaders in New York’s fashion industry.
Hope to see you there!!
